Security

CPNI
Subscribers may set up their accounts with password security so that only the authorized person may call in and discuss their account. All Social Security numbers are hidden on the user screens within QuickTel. With the QuickTel correspondence system, you can automatically send your subscribers notifications via US mail whenever their password or address changes.

Protection of Data
All data shared between the QuickTel Windows client application and the hosted system is encrypted with SSL encryption so that no data may be accessed. All QuickTel production databases are inaccessible via the public Internet thus providing extra protection for your data security.

User Access and Logging
All user access is controlled by user group permissions and all user activity is logged.

Data Center
Our data is collocated at Internap’s state-of-the-art data center in Boston, MA. This 40,000 sq. ft. facility has fully redundant power and HVAC, controlled temperature and humidity, fire-threat detection and suppression, 24×7x365 critical monitoring and security and an unprecedented 8 points of connectivity redundancy.

Quadruple Backup
Data is the heart of your business. The loss of data could mean the loss of your business. Your data must be protected against hardware failure and human error. QuickTel employs full data protection and recovery with our unique Quadruple Backup.

Your data is copied and stored not once, but four times. Here’s how:

  1. Mirrored hard drives: Known as RAID, the database server from which your data is accessed and updated throughout the day employs a mirrored hard drive that protects against hardware failure. If the primary hard drive fails, the mirrored secondary drive takes over while the primary hard drive is repaired. BeQuick uses only Dell’s award winning line of PowerEdge servers.
  2. Mirrored database servers: Every time your data changes on the primary database server, these changes are instantly replicated on a secondary database server. This advanced database feature, known as replication, is made possible by MySQL, the world’s leading open source database engine which is noted for its reliability and security.
  3. Nightly, local backups: Your data is copied every day at 11 PM Eastern and stored on a local server at BeQuick’s production facility at Internap in Boston, Massachusetts.
  4. Nightly, off-site data storage: BeQuick has partnered with Arsenal Digital, the leading provider of network backup and recovery software and services, to store your data, once encrypted for secure transport, on Arsenal’s fully redundant data storage network. The process is fully automatic, takes place 365 days per year and eliminates human error.
